PIXEL, 2015
5 hour snow-sculpture in Schenley Plaza using beet dye, collaboration with Audrey Banks and Clair Chin
When we first conceptualized this piece, we pictured a large expanse of color appearing seemingly out of nowhere. We decided we would take a space and, by using snow and dye made from beets, create a flat image. We wanted the color to be reminiscent of the unnatural. Those who walked by obviously questioned what we were doing and why. The reactions from those within the environment were that of wonder and confusion.
